Bread Pakoda
Bread Pakoda is a perfect tea time snack to be enjoyed while sipping tea during the monsoon. A famous street side snack and a scrumptious finger food.

Ingredients
- For the batter
- 1 cupGram Flour (Besan)
- 1/4 tspTurmeric powder ( Haldi)
- 1/4 tsp ( optional)Red Chili powder
- a pinchSoda Bi Carb / Baking Soda
- For the Pakoda
- 10 piecesBread
- As requiredPotato Sabzi
- as requiredGreen Chutney
- as per tastesalt
Method
- Step 1
For the batter (coating) :-
- Step 2
In a bowl add gram flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder ( optional) and salt.
- Step 3
Add water to make a slightly thick batter that has like a coating consistency. ( Add pinch of soda bi-carb just before deep frying).
- Step 4
For the stuffing ( Potato Sabzi) :-
- Step 5
Coarsely grind curry leaves, green chillies, ginger and garlic in a blender.
- Step 6
In a pan heat 2 tsp oil and add the coarse mixture.
- Step 7
Add asafoetida, turmeric powder and salt to taste.
- Step 8
Add boiled and mashed potatoes.
- Step 9
Add coriander leaves, cover the mixture and cook for a minute on a low flame.

Allow the potato sabzi to cool down in a plate.
- Step 11
For the Pakodas :-
- Step 12
Apply chutney on two bread slices and spread the potato Sabzi on the same.
- Step 13
Cover with another bread.
- Step 14
Cut them diagonally to make four pieces.
- Step 15
Coat them in the batter.
- Step 16
Deep fry on medium heat until they look done.
- Step 17
Serve hot along with Red Garlic Chutney or Tomato Ketchup
